A good idea always always provides tough challenges. Today wasn’t as fruitful on paper as yesterday, but at the same time we have narrowed down some weaknesses, as well as a few – less – strengths, with the story. Hopefully tomorrow we’ll be able to move past this theoretical stage and start constructing some physical drama for the characters. We are working hard on not cluttering this story with a patchwork of fancy ideas we’ve been carrying with us for a longer time than we can remember, urging to put them to use somewhere, but rather find the right ideas that will do the job most effectively. Sometimes (read most of the time, and maybe you know.. ) this is much easier said than done. The most interesting part of this work right now is that we keep telling ourselves that we’re only learning here – even though we’ve both been convinced we learnt it a long time ago. So I guess the reason I’m tired right now is, not only the skiing, but trying to un-learn and then re-learn what I’m supposed to have been working with the last 13 odd years. It seems to me that the greatest challenge is my brain, not the script, but we’ll see… more soon.d
