Afghan Gold “Behind The Scenes” Version: 1st Rough-Cut

Sara Andersson has finished the first rough-rough-rough-cut of Afghan Gold with travel writer and explorer Tahir Shah . It’s very exciting seeing this project come together and to see all the material, which we couldn’t fit into the FIVE UK TV version, be put to use and show the “real” journey that we experienced. There are even a few really controversial bits of material that virtually no one has seen yet, and that I nearly forgot about myself.

Kabul, Afghanistan

It will be a good challenge to make them work and even build the story towards them. I’ve just (yesterday) started writing the script for this film – and there is nothing like the feeling of knowing that you’re now over the crux, in a process that inevitably will result in a finished film, not the least a wild treasure-hunt-adventure-documentary in Afghanistan. Exciting!
